What Is the PARCHMENT Token?
The PARCHMENT token is associated with the participation and reward mechanism of Parchment Trading. The token dashboard describes PARCHMENT minting in connection with eligible trading activity and other achievements. Eligible balances may be staked to access the protocol’s variable USDC rewards mechanism.
This token system is distinct from USDC trading collateral. A PARCHMENT balance, a locked balance and a staked balance may appear separately in the account view, and each can carry different eligibility rules.
PARCHMENT Minting from Qualifying Trading Losses
The token interface describes an issuance route based on certain realized trading losses. In the uploaded token view, a displayed figure says eligible losses can generate up to 100 PARCHMENT per $1 of qualifying loss, subject to the mechanism and limits then in effect. This is an interface description rather than a guaranteed exchange rate or a statement that all losses qualify.
Token emission is not equivalent to reimbursing USDC losses. A trader can lose real collateral while receiving a token whose price, liquidity and utility can change. Trading deliberately to lose money to obtain token emissions is financially hazardous.
Other Ways to Earn PARCHMENT
The source dashboard mentions a token-earning path associated with referrals and qualifying referee fees. Eligibility and timing are protocol-dependent.
Some achievements may contribute to PARCHMENT issuance, potentially with daily limits and additional criteria.
Reward programs can be adjusted or discontinued. Use the live account view rather than a static screenshot or an older guide to determine whether a specific activity remains eligible.
Available, Locked and Staked PARCHMENT
| Balance | What it means |
|---|---|
| Wallet PARCHMENT | The token balance available to the connected account as shown by the interface. |
| Locked, earning | Tokens subject to a lock; the source token page says locked PARCHMENT may already participate in reward earning. |
| Staked PARCHMENT | Eligible tokens committed through the staking interface and subject to applicable unstaking rules. |
Do not assume locked tokens can be moved immediately. The current protocol’s unlock schedule and wallet state determine whether they are eligible for new staking transactions or withdrawal.
From PARCHMENT Token to Staking and USDC Rewards
After checking eligibility, a holder can review the Stake / Unstake PARCHMENT guide to understand the staking panel. The USDC Rewards guide explains what the reward stream, staking APR and historical distributions mean.
Token rewards and a displayed APR do not establish a token’s market value or guarantee future income. Independently verify token rules, trading risk and smart-contract permissions.
